Energy ducks can harness solar power

A team of British artists and designers, given the visually interesting and entertaining sculptures, are dual-function solar collectors and buoyant energy storage in a giant duck shape. The Artistic Generator Initiative developed in 2014, “Energy Ducks” was sited at the port of Copenhagen where solar radiant energy was converted and converted into electrical energy through standard photovoltaic panels located in its feathers.

At night, “energy ducks” are discolored by low-power LED lights; their composition is fluctuating in proportion to the rhythm and positioned at the output of the water turbine.
