In the security monitoring system, the engineering wiring is divided into analog monitoring wiring and digital monitoring wiring. The analog monitoring wiring can use the network cable and the monitoring cable for wiring, and the digital monitoring wiring can select the network cable for wiring.

In the security monitoring system engineering wiring, both analog monitoring and digital monitoring can select the network cable for wiring. But in the transmission distance, the two are different.

Analog monitoring is the generation of analog signals, which are converted into digital signals by a capture card or OVR or stored in a more primitive way, such as through a video tape. Digital monitoring is the digital information directly generated by the camera, which can be directly processed.

As a choice of video signal transmission cable, it is now more and more keen to select a network cable as a transmission medium, as long as the twisted pair transmitter used at the lens end and the receiving end can transmit signals instead of the monitor line.

The advantage of replacing the monitoring line with the network cable is mainly because it has strong anti-interference ability, and the transmission distance is long, and the wiring is relatively easy.

The engineering wiring generally selects the network cable of oxygen-free copper material. The resistance of the oxygen-free copper network cable is small and the transmission is fast. It can transmit about 200-300 meters in the analog monitoring, and the digital monitoring transmission can be as far as 130-150 meters.

The copper wire has a large resistance, and ordinary engineering can be selected as the wiring. The digital monitoring transmission can be as far as 70-80 meters. The copper-clad silver mesh has poor oxidation resistance and long service life, and the transmission distance is about 100 meters.

If there is strong interference in the wiring environment, you can choose to shield the network cable to resist strong interference. The shielded network cable is divided into single shielded network cable and double shield. The shielded network cable should be grounded at the single end of the monitoring room. At the same time, pay attention to the transmission distance of the shielded network cable. Generally, there is no transmission distance of the unshielded network cable.
